More people meet online than any other way, but that doesn't mean that everyone will find love and romance on the internet. You can increase your chances of success by following these simple guidelines.

1. Write a profile that creates interest and curiosity. There's no need to detail your life story or disclose negative information. But it needs to be truthful and almost professionally written. Empty profiles that say nothing, don't create interest in who you are. Profiles that are too long and boring don't sell either. Use attention grabbing headlines, short paragraphs, and make your profile easy to read. If you're not good at writing, ask a friend to write your profile.

2. Always include a picture with your profile. The picture should be recent and represent how you look right now. This picture should be the best one you can find. If you're an average person and want to look better, pay attention to what you're wearing, the lighting, and the location where your picture is taken.

3. Join the best online dating sites you can afford. Free doesn't mean better. Even the most expensive online dating sites are very reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. Free sites are ok. But it's worth having one or more paid memberships.
