Article Writing Secrets.

There are many excellent writers in the world and we are proud to have some of them here on BestNewArticles.Com. However writing for the internet is different than writing for books and magazines. Most authors are not aware there is a difference and how to compensate for these differences. If you're already a great writer here are some adjustments you can make when writing for the internet.

Headlines.

Most writers write excellent headlines, but unlike a book where you might have one headline every few pages, on the internet it's best to have several headlines per page, - perhaps every paragraph or two. Why? Because internet users are in a hurry to find what they're looking for. If they see miles of small text and no headlines they will usually get discouraged and leave your article. You need to grab their attention with the first headline, then include interesting sub headlines throughout your article.

Readers and search engines alike attach greater importance to headlines.
Short Paragraphs, Bullets, Formatting, ...
In addition to headlines to break up a page, it's important to write short sentences and short paragraphs. Try to include numbered lists in place of paragraphs wherever possible. Do whatever you can make your article easy to read.

Most article directories will not allow you to do HTML formatting in your article because people take advantage of these features to include affiliate links and other unwanted codes. However on your own web site you can do a lot with formatting, color, and other design techniques to make your articles look more visually appealing.

Keywords.

Unlike books or magazines, it's crucial to include popular 'keywords' in your articles. i.e. before you write an article, you should determine what words people are using to search the internet and include these words in your articles.

Don't rely on thousands of article directories to spread your message. Your articles will be virtually invisible unless you use the most popular keywords for your particular topic.

In addition to including keywords in your articles, try to incorporate one or two keywords in your title if possible. The use of keywords in all your headlines is powerful as well. Also if an article directory allows you to list keywords with your articles, take advantage of this feature! It's one of the keys to your success.

Don't guess or put any old keywords in your articles. You'll be surprised what words people use to find what they're looking for. Do an internet search first and be sure. Always give preference to the most popular keywords.

Keywords Can Be Phrases!

They're called 'keywords' but they're actually words and phrases. Use these keywords and phrases in your article but don't overdo it. Avoid repeating keywords over and over again or putting them too close to each other. Remember that real people will be reading your article. Don't use keywords just for the sake of using the most popular keywords. Write for people, - not search engines. But if you have two words that mean exactly the same thing, use the most popular word most of the time.

Keyword Meta Tags.

Keyword meta tags are invisible to internet users, but search engines see these tags. Keyword meta tags tell the search engine robot what your article is about. The robot will then confirm that these keywords are in your article and if they are being used appropriately.

When you're entering keywords for meta tags, separate each keyword or phrase with a comma and a space. Do not put two keywords beside each other even if they're separated by a comma and a space. e.g. keywords written like this will negatively impact search engine results: online dating, dating, dating advice. Notice how the word 'dating' is repeated consecutively. A better way to write your keywords would be dating, online dating, free dating services, dating advice. ...

You should try to limit your words and complete phrases to ten or less. A phrase counts as one word. Make sure your keywords are found at least two or three times in your articles and preferable in some of your headlines.

If you're an excellent writer already, making these small adjustments will help you achieve much greater success online.
