Compost is the next great area people must conquer. Bottles and non biodegradables are more or less handled. But people are still just throwing away excess food. Before it goes bad, think if you are actually going to eat it. If you are not, donate it to a needy family or feed it to your pet if it will not upset its digestion. Throwing away food not only wastes a plastic trash bag, but the wasted food does no one any good.

Composting is really where people need to put their energies. This area is lacking because no one can get paid to compost something. Everyone redeems bottles, whether they care about the environment or not. Apart from composting, we need to work on conserving energy, too. You can train yourself to apply your financial sense in this area; you will save much more energy.
